Aztec Day

23 May 2017

The 1st Form delved further into the Aztec world on Monday as they took part in an interactive workshop to learn more about the ancient civilisation.

The boys learnt more about the foundations of the Aztec culture, their language, music and beliefs. The boys were able to take part in an ancient Aztec sport using a purpose made ball made from sap of the trees in South America, play traditional musical instruments, and become gods.

After the workshop, the group indulged in an Aztec feast where they may or may not have eaten food that was used for human sacrifice (no actual humans were sacrificed for the feast!).

The boys were able to really focus and immerse themselves into this ancient world. The experience added value to their classroom lessons and will aid a greater understanding of the Aztecs.
