This is one of the most pleasant half marathon courses in the country. It is a difficult one, with lots of ups and downs, but a great deal of it is run within The Beeches. Burnham Joggers Running Club organises it, and the two-lap course starts from Caldicott and finishes there, with our facilities in use by them, the runners and their families and friends. The swimming pool in particular is very popular. Here is a picture from the start of the 2009 event, on 23 August. It promises to be quite a hot day - perhaps not so good for distance running!
