The Friends of Caldicott is a voluntary committee of fourteen parents drawn from all years in the school, each of whom serves a two-year tenure. The Chairman of the Committee changes each academic year; in 2009 Karen Nicol kindly took on the role. She has sons in the Second and Fifth Forms.

We organise a number of enjoyable functions and events throughout the school year so that parents and guardians can meet socially, and at the same time help to raise funds for the school. Recent projects funded by the Friends include the purchase of equipment for the school library, computerised information screens, and recreational equipment for the boys, amongst others. The past year has also seen the Friends contribute to the Horizon Sports' Club, for children with special needs and disabilities.

The Friends also assist in the Junior School with reading support at The Headmaster's request, listening to boys read every week. We are also involved each year in the enjoyable task of decorating the school for Christmas.

The Friends really do make a difference to the boys' lives at Caldicott!
