Physical Education at Caldicott teaches boys the fundamentals of body management, sound sporting techniques, health and fitness issues, co-operation and team building. Lessons are currently taught to all forms 1-6 except Beta and Alpha.
Through a range of physical activities boys develop self esteem, interdependence and knowledge of health matters. Promoting an awareness of how strength, speed, suppleness and stamina affect performance underpins many of the activities studied.

Boys are taught gymnastics, orienteering, problem-solving, squash, basketball, athletics, swimming, hockey skills and principles of invasion games.

There is a focus on learning correct techniques and appreciating the essence of different skills and activities, while striving to perform well in each area. Boys are expected to be able to evaluate theirs and others' performances. Co-operation and reliance on others are integral to the learning that takes place.

All boys are expected to do their very best regardless of natural ability, and are encouraged to work hard to master new skills and movements. Boys work at a level of difficulty that is relevant to them in order for them to achieve and be successful.

It is expected that boys will enjoy P.E. lessons and be engaged in them. They will gain most through involving themselves fully and learning how to apply their skills to different situations.

Through this they will develop physical confidence, recognition, and a positive attitude towards healthy living and exercise.
