Well Done

to O Wilson (12.0) for this piece of Geography done yesterday. Even I learned something when I read it (surely not!).

Science Posters

 safetyposterowen

Mr Granville has passed on some excellent posters about safety in the laboratories.

Three of them are here.

Of course, safety is all-important. and it is always stressed, particularly as boys may frequently be handling rather unpleasant unguents, and even acids.
In the 'fire' demonstrations above, it is notable that the boys - and even the brave staff - had to wear face protection. And as for the hands ... well, it wouldn't have been done if there was any risk.

I'm sure that no Caldicott boy would ever drink the experiments, of course - but thanks anyway to J Owen (10.08) for this timely reminder!

The two below are by J Lane (10.05)

A Picture

Taken by L Wright (9.06) of one of this term's new boys on the adventure playground. Well done to him - and also to H Wakefield for his superb sense of balance! Note that the original is excellent, but this is a low-res version for the web.

A Good Summary

by Simon Hayes of the tour. Although we were beaten by The Oratory in the semi-final, he really put it into perspective with this comment:

Although the boys did not win this year, the tour was successful overall – four wins out of five and 67 points for and 10 points against.

If any other parents have pictures of the tour, please could you contact me at agp (@caldicott.com). For the moment, here is just one of the pictures taken by Sarah Breeden, from the Abberley Hall game. More early next week.
