Thanks to Mr Williams for this interesting report. 

This was a very competitive encounter between two extremely enthusiastic sides. The first half featured lots of limited runs and hundreds of tags; there were a couple of excellent charges, however, that resulted in two tries – one for each side. The first was scored by Caldicott, with O Elgendy crossing the line, before St Columba’s replied quickly to level the scores at half time.

In the second half there was a lot more enterprise from both teams with some elusive running and good support play. Both teams continued to score, one after the other, and at regular intervals. Caldicott’s tries were scored by O Ferneyhough, man of the match G Temple, and finally Sam who finished off the try of the match; Temple zigzagged his way through  the defence and then gave a beautifully-timed pass to put Sam over in the corner.

The final score was four tries each. Well done boys on a much-improved and entertaining performance.
