Today there was considerable excitement about the result of the House Party. It was all pretty close - McArthur had won all of the Mark Readings, but the additional items - Bookitch, Hockey, Cross Country, etc., finally swung it Wood's way. There was quite a cheer when the Headmaster announced the result, with appropriate tension (you know the TV quizzes - and the winner is - then 20 seconds later, or more if they can make it last - John Smith). Well the tension may be a little forced on these occasions, but at Caldicott lunch today it was genine, though I must admit the Headmaster did have a little pause - but only a little one!

It was a good party. There are a lot of pictures, but the one below shows two brothers, both of whom won House prizes today.
