The Centenary Hall at Dusk

The Centenary Hall was built for performance. This state-of-the-art facility was designed from the beginning to have superb acoustics - even the bricks are special - and has been fitted with a complete lighting system, movable stage and tiered seating, and a digital projector with a very large screen, frequently used in the Thursday morning Assembly.

Shortly after its opening, there was a two-page spread in the architecture section of the Independent newspaper.

This is a link to the opening concert, involving an opera singer, a rock group, professional and semi-professiona soloists - and the boys!

Finally, have a look at this page about the building of the Centenary Hall - and the demolition of the old one, which the boys witnessed!
