The Longest Day Print E-mail

Today has been the first day of Common Entrance. It has been a long one, with four examinations (Mathematics 1/3, Biology, English 1 and History). The weather is very hot, but despite the discomfort they all tried hard. The picture below shows them near the end of the History exam - just under half an hour to go. As I write this, they are out on the fields enjoying games, and then to the Centenary Hall for another revision session, ready for the next four exams tomorrow (French, Chemistry, English 3, Mathematics 3/4). I bet they can't wait until they're all over on Thursday!

Thinking hard

Dull, but Important Print E-mail

Swine flu has affected a few schools, but thankfully not Caldicott.

However, in order to alleviate any risk as much as possible, antiseptic gel dispensers are now a feature of Caldicott. Before meals the boys must wash their hands, or can use this gel. Of course, because it is a new experience for many of them, at the moment it is a novelty; we hope it will soon become routine.

Here is the one outside the dining room, with guidance about how to use it.

Safety first!
