Fishing |
| O Wilson & T Lambert went fly fishing with Mr Cooper today at Sheep House Farm in Maidenhead. The equipment that they used has been generously funded by the Friends of Caldicott. Although the trout were not tempted by any flies presented to them, we hope to have more luck next term.

Maths, a Day Early |
As you are no doubt aware, tomorrow is World Maths Day. The boys have already been preparing for it, playing mathematical games against other pupils, from all over the world.
Today there has been some even more practical preparation, as the Juniors have been working at various mathematical tasks for the whole morning. An example of one of the tasks is on the right. All of the Junior School staff have been helping all the groups.
The boys have obviously enjoyed it, and most definitely will have learned a great deal.
For example, one boy (who will remain anonymous!) said that he eats a litre of breakfast cereal each morning. Mrs Snyman then got a litre of water. Around half of that water filled the bowl.
All this is great preparation for World Maths Day, tomorrow, and there will be a report of that as it happens. More important, though, is that all of this work is building up concepts for the future.
Well done Junior School and, I am sure, well done in advance to the older boys tomorrow.

Then he congratulated our next two award winners: H Daggett (Art Scholarship to Harrow) and F Olaleye (Sports' Exhibition to Dulwich College). That makes our total three so far, and it is still just early March!
After the sports' reports, Mr Granville described the success of our participation in yesterday's World Maths Day and congratulated the boys on their efforts. There were some interesting Caldicott facts.
- Only 20 boys did not answer any questions, as they could not take part because of absence or other commitments. (Though I'm sure they would have done well!)
