As I'm sure many of you know, ex-Caldicott Ollie Broom is cycling all the way to Australia in time for the Ashes. As well as a great experience, it is also raising money to support the Lord's Taverners and the British Neurological Research Trust.
His latest update, showing his time in Sangli in central India, is on the latest page of the blog he has just sent.
There is also an excellent video at the bottom of that page, in which Oli tosses the coin for a match in the Maharashtran Cricket League, and ex-Caldicott Andrew Strauss is at least one Indian's favourite player!

The newly-introduced supper which is based on Korea was absolutely superb. I especially liked the decoration on the dining room such as posters, lanterns and traditional Korean fans. The boys also helped by painting Korean flags.
We had chapchae (Korean noodle), Bulgogi (beef with sweet sauce) and some Korean rice cakes. I have to say, the school made an amazing effort to make this supper excellent and successful.

Mr Smith once again reminded the boys about the importance of naming:
- Jumpers. Also, if they remove them in warm weather, their shirt must be tucked in.
- Cricket equipment. Some of this is expensive. A cricket bat worth around £200 has been found, but it has not been possible to return it straight to the owner.
He complimented the boys, particularly the boarders, on their support for the Caldicott Team in the Athletics Meeting on Tuesday.
He also thanked our Korean boys and Caldicott parents for their support for Children's Day, which happened in South Korea yesterday. The boarders had a Korean meal for supper then, and the dining room has been decorated with a Korean theme for lunch today. Photograph below - some jelly (Children's Day!) and some lanterns still on display.
 Lovely green jelly ...

You may remember the excellent skeletons produced last month by one of Mrs Snyman's groups (age 7-8). Here are some others, just as good, from her other Science group. They are now making movable skeletons to develop their knowledge of the bones - though it seems pretty good so far!

I do believe Mr Rich. As the person i/c cricket, he tells me the new nets are almost ready.

Obviously the hardest bit is done, so it won't be long now ... |
