The Caldicott Activities Programme is tailored to boys in 3rd Form (Year 5) and above, and is a strength of the school. Whether your son is sporty, cerebral or creative, there is an activity to keep him fit, challenged and inspired.

Most activities are in-house and led by our talented teachers, but some are run by visiting coaches. There is no limit to the amount of activities that boys can attend, but all boys are encouraged to join in with at least two a week.

Activities are seasonal and changed each term. Think kayaking, croquet and kite-making in the summer, with cooking, kickboxing and coding in the winter.

Other examples include archery, golf, judo, squash, basketball, climbing, entrepreneur club, creative thinking, chess, debating, art and model-making and play-writing.

Day boys in 3rd and 4th Form (Years 5 and 6) attend their activities after school, ready to be collected or jump on the bus home at 18.00. Senior boarders will have prep (homework) after school, and then enjoy their activities later on after supper.

Term-time after-school care is available for all boys in 1st-4th Form (Years 3-6) until 18.00 Monday to Friday.  Our younger boys enjoy unstructured play during this time, under the supervision of a rota of teachers, so that they can rest and recharge after their full and busy day. They may choose to play board games or read inside, or run around outside playing ball games or using the climbing equipment, for example. During the school holidays, there will be a wide range of activity camps on offer too, such as swimming, drama, football and growth mindset workshops.
