Tall Tales and Funky Fables – a Drama Performance from Caldicott’s Year 5

16 March 2020

Last week, Caldicott’s Year 5 shared a selection of theatrical presentations in their drama showcase Tall Tales and Funky Fables; a collection of LAMDA performances and two revised interpretations of the classic Aesop’s Fables The Boy who Cried Wolf and The Tortoise and the Hare.

It was a wonderful afternoon highlighting some of the excellent acting talent from the boys at Caldicott. Their performances were hugely entertaining, amusing and thought provoking.

LAMDA performances included: Grandpa’s Great Escape by David Walliams, Pawn by Simon Mawdsley and Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl.

The boys helped script and shape the fable performances for the stage and were delighted to see so many parents and friends watch their show.

Every boy has the chance to perform in one production each year and the numbers of boys taking part in LAMDA examinations is growing. Drama and performing arts at Caldicott is going from strength to strength and the boys always enjoy showing their family and friends what they have been working on.
