2nd Form Trip to the National Gallery

09 February 2018

The 2nd Form went to the National Gallery in London recently as part of their studies on “Colour in the World Around Us”.

On arrival, the boys were split into two groups and then taken on a guided tour with a member of the gallery staff to look at the exhibitions.

As always, the National Gallery proved to be a very engaging place to visit. All the boys were very interested in what they saw and had some great discussions in front of several paintings.

The painting they looked at in most detail was “Surprised!” by Henri Rousseau.  This is a painting the boys have been looking at closely in their art lessons along with colour theory.  The boys will be producing work in response to the painting and their gallery visit in the second half of term.
