4th Form Drama Showcase

06 July 2021

Far from the ideal end to the school year, the unfolding events of our final full week made filming the 4th Form Drama Showcase rather challenging. Although a few boys missed out on the opportunity to perform, the work contained in this video is very much a product of every single boy's hard work over the course of this term and all should feel equally proud of what they have achieved.

With boys having to step out of costume and head home just as the cameras were about to start recording, quick thinking and resilience were required. A remarkable year group, there was no shortage of boys willing to step in last minute to learn lines and choreography. A fantastic effort from all, demonstrating true Caldicott spirit.

Running order:
Virtual School - devised and scripted by 4Y
The Banquet Scene from 'Macbeth' - 4R
Act 1, Scene 1 of 'Romeo and Juliet' - 4R
The Accordion Shop by Cush Jambo - 4G

Also, in case you haven't seen these already, with some being inspired by the comedy classics of Buster Keaton One Week and the Battling Butler, and others by the spine-chilling 1922 horror Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, the annual 4th Form Silent Movie Competition had our panel of film critics either in raptures of laughter or cowering behind their mark sheets - it was quite something! We are delighted to share with you with winning movie and the runner up.

Winner - The Missing Boy
Runner Up - The Museum Robbery
