Boys are eligible to join us in Year 3, the September after they turn seven years of age, and will generally stay on until they are 13 years old and have completed Year 8, ready to transition to senior school in Year 9. Since Year 3 is our entry point, we call it 1st Form; Year 4 is known as 2nd Form, and so on until 6th Form, which is the most senior year.

Lower School: 1st and 2nd Form

All boys are day boys, although they have the option to flexi or occasional board if their families wish. The school day is 08.00 until 16.00, Monday to Friday, with after school care offered until 18.00.

Middle School: 3rd and 4th Form

Most boys continue as day boys 08.00 until 16.00, although there is the option of flexi-boarding, which is very popular at this age, or weekly or full boarding for a handful of boys, mostly international students. Structured activities and after school care are offered until 18.00 each day. Saturday School is introduced from 3rd Form, and boys depart at midday on this day. There might sometimes be sports fixtures on Saturday afternoons for boys this age, and parents are warmly invited to spectate.

Senior School: 5th and 6th Form

Most boys board at this age. After four years of getting to know each other as day boys, boarding is the natural next step that the boys embrace with curiosity and excitement. Most boys board on a weekly basis, leaving after sports fixtures on a Saturday afternoon and returning on the Monday morning (although there is the option to return on a Sunday evening). A handful of full boarders stay on at weekends and embrace the programme of activities led by the nurturing boarding staff. The third option is to take up a Day Plus place, which provides flexibility for those boys who may not be ready to full or weekly board at this time. It includes two days of non-mandatory boarding, which can be topped up on an ad hoc basis.
