Caldicott re-evaluated its goals for the coming years, placing sustainability firmly into our agenda. The school has committed to an ambitious target of reducing Caldicott’s contribution to climate change every single year.
We have chosen excessive resource consumption, waste and pollution as three areas for improvement and since 2019 we have had success in all three areas.
In 2021, the boys became more involved than ever in this aspiration as they first studied the United Nation’s ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ and have more recently established a Sustainability Committee which has wide reaching influence and authority. From 2021, the Headmaster also reports directly to the Board of Governors about this important work.
Caldicott is committed to it’s pledge of using 100% green energy to run the school by the end of 2022.
