At the end of last week, the 3rd Form visited Ironbridge in Shropshire as part of their Victorian history studies. They visited Blists Hill, a living Victorian town, and took part in a range of activities. Most shocking to some of the boys was the Victorian school experience which was very different to what they are used to at Caldicott. They also got a chance to visit some authentic Victorian shops to spend their Victorian money. Among them were a printers, a candle makers and of course a sweet shop. A visit to Enginuity was also enjoyed in which the boys got hands on with science activities. The night was spent at the Coalbrookdale YHA where we had a wild evening’s entertainment of a talent show and bingo competition.
