Our annual Charity Football Tournament began just before we broke up for half term and this year, we are raising funds for Brain Tumour Research UK.  Every year since it’s inception in 2022, the tournament rallies the boys together for a great cause.

Thrilling matches took place across the week, with boys revelling in the chance to play alongside their friends in a competitive internal setting. The tournament kicked off with the 1st and 2nd Form playing on Monday. Unfortunately, heavy rain meant that the 3rd and 4th Form tournaments had to take place in the Sports Hall, but that did not dampen the spirits of the boys.

Due to the inclement weather, the 5th and 6th Form tournaments had to be postponed and will now take place on Monday 11 March. The good news is that this gives our 5th and 6th Formers more time to raise their sponsorship money!

We have been so impressed with the efforts made by the boys so far to raise money for the event. Euan M (3rd Form) spent yesterday evening baking brownies which he sold to the boys in his year, generating a superb £160 and Theo T (3rd Form) held a challenging position which he uses for his kickboxing called horse riding stance (similar to an extended squat) for over four minutes, raising £80 in sponsorship.

Our extended goal by the end of this term is to raise over £2074 which will earn Caldicott a tile on Brain Tumour Research’s “Wall of Hope”! To help us reach this goal we welcome any and all donations. You can donate on this Just Giving page, by emailing Ma’am Duncan with the amount you would like added to your end of term bill or by BACS payment.
