Last week eight boys from the 4th, 5th & 6th Form headed to the Italian Alps for the IAPS Giant Slalom Ski Competition. Nineteen Schools comprising of two hundred and twenty four competitors took part in U9, U11 & U13 boys, girls and mixed competitions. This was the first time Caldicott had entered and managed to qualify a team of four into the U13 Boys Championship, and a team of four into the U13 Boys Plate competition. While the Championship side competed well against tough opposition including a number of GB skiers, the biggest success was for the Plate Team who came 2nd in their category with Dominic Stone being the overall fastest skier on the Plate course out of one hundred and twenty one other competitors. A great week was had by all, and the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves while doing the school and themselves proud.
