In order to mark Remembrance Day and commemorate the one hundred year anniversary of the start of World War One, a rather special remembrance event took place today. The boys gathered in the Centenary Hall and collectively read the poem, ‘In Flanders Field’ by John McRrae. This was followed by a two minute silence. A trumpet call was then played and the bell was rung fourteen times, once for each of the old boys who lost their life during World War One. Finally, a prayer of remembrance was said and each boy put down their poppy on to the floor of the hall to represent the poppy fields.
