It’s the year of the dragon and our boarders celebrated Chinese New Year in the most Caldicott way possible: by enjoying a delicious themed meal prepared by our expert team in the kitchen.

Our themed meals focus on celebrating a different country through food, every half term, and this week Jai’s team did not disappoint! Chicken dumplings in sweet and sour sauce, pork ribs in Chinese red sauce, soft tofu fried in spicy sauce, spring rolls and prawn crackers were all served alongside plenty of stir fried noodles and egg fried rice. Of course every boy had a fortune cookie too! Dessert saw traditional ma lai go Chinese steamed cakes served with cream.

The Housekeeping team did a great job in decorating the Dining Hall appropriately, so thanks to them as well as the Kitchen team for all their hard work. The boys (and staff) certainly reaped the rewards!
