The opportunity to perform a concerto is the sort of thing that is competed for in one’s last year at a conservatoire, so to witness five of our boys performing in movements making up Caldicott’s first ever Concerto Concert on Wednesday night was an incredible achievement for these boys and great source of pride for the Music Department.

The Slough Philharmonic Orchestra are a highly regarded and talented group of musicians, and we thank them tremendously for their time in supporting our performers in this endeavour. A concerto is a major work for soloist and orchestra, giving the soloist an opportunity to display their virtuosity and we were glad such esteemed guests as the Chairman of Buckinghamshire Council, Mayor of Slough, and Deputy Mayor of Beaconsfield could be in attendance. Bravo to our performers for the night: Yasar Z, Stanley X, Roger X, George C and Bowen D.
