Hugo never fails to return from a school holiday with heart-warming tales of charitable work he has carried out, and this time it’s close to home in more ways than one.

Sadly, Hugo’s grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s earlier this year, and one of the ways she (and other local suffers of this disease) are supported is through a coffee morning which her GP surgery organises at The Forrester’s pub in Farnham Common. Hugo, being Hugo, used his initiative and spent time baking them all delicious cakes to enjoy with their coffee. They were all very impressed to see a local schoolboy being so kind, and his Nanna was very proud to tell all her friends the he was her grandson!

These kinds of examples where our boys really show their compassion and give up their free time for a good cause are incredibly rewarding to see, so a massive pat on the back was rightly given to Hugo in our first assembly of term.
