We shared recently that Caldicott was chosen as a finalist in BSA’s  ‘Supporting Junior Boarders’ Award. And now…drum roll…we are proud to announce that we have won the award! Mr Banks received the great news during the BSA Annual Conference for Heads, where he was also presented with the prestigious glass trophy and certificate.

Massive credit belongs to Mr Cooper, who has been running our flexi-boarding programme since its introduction in September 2021, as well as Ma’am Bisschop our Head of Boarding and Deputy Head (Pastoral).

Mr Banks announced the news to staff and boys in this morning’s assembly. He said that winning isn’t just about coming first, it’s about setting an example and having the confidence to be the best you can be. That’s why we’re glad that Mr Cooper and Ma’am Bisschop’s efforts have been recognised; alongside the rest of the Boarding Team, they work tirelessly to make sure our boarders have the best experience possible, and are supported throughout their time at Caldicott.

The BSA is an Associate Member of the Independent Schools Council (ISC) and represents the top independent schools across the country, and so to be titled as the best prep school for supporting junior boarders is a source of great pride for the whole school, and not least of all the Boarding Team.
