Not only getting a chance to share their work with a wider audience, but also spending time with like-minded individuals from other schools, for our boys the Prep School Monologue Slam was a resounding success!
It was a pleasure to host what will hopefully be the first of many such events, which showcased the incredible dramatic talents of pupils from Caldicott and other nearby schools. Ma’am Duncan came up with the idea earlier this year and was delighted to receive a warm reception when she approached her fellow Heads of Drama. The day began with Anna Williams from Wellington College delivering a superb Drama workshop involving all performers and providing a very helpful insight into the expectations placed on drama scholars at senior schools – a massive thank you to her for her time. Also, a huge thanks to the Heads of Drama from the participating schools: Godstowe, Hall Grove, Lambrook, and Ludgrove.
We had a wonderfully supportive audience of boarders and parents who all enjoyed the event. The performances were of an incredibly high standard, and we look forward to the event becoming an addition to the school calendar.
