One of our fantastic external cricket coaches, Chris Marrow, is undertaking the London Marathon this year to raise money for the incredible cause that is the Get Kids Going! charity.

Get Kids Going! are a charity in the UK which gives disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26 years, the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport. They provide them with specially built sports wheelchairs so they can do all kinds of activities with the aim of supporting these aspiring athletes to compete in the Summer Paralympics, Winter Paralympics, Commonwealth Games and many more events.

As you can read on Chris’ fundraising page, he has seen first-hand the impact that sports has on young people…

“This means a great deal to me. Being fortunate enough to work in sports, I understand how impactful sport can be on young children’s lives. The charity is doing an amazing job, and the more support they receive, the better the lives of these children will be. We all know the amazing benefits sports can provide our children!”

There are hundreds of talented, disabled youngsters who have the potential to participate in events throughout the UK and all over the World but receive either none or very little funding and are desperate to achieve their life-long sporting dreams.
